Mansfield, Ohio

Recently passed through Mansfield, Ohio while up in the area to photograph the former Ohio State Reformatory.






A proud city where union strengthened industry was once the backbone, many of the manufacturing jobs have left, leaving behind abandonment in what might be described as a prime example of the rust belt. In spite of all this, Mansfield still centers around its Carousel Park with friendly people and and an active downtown. It even includes the Coney Island Inn, a nice 'mom and pop' diner that makes a mean Philly Cheesesteak.
