Two Days on the Pacific Coast Highway
From a seaside Taco Bell to a beachfront amusement park, Big Sur, the land of windmills, and more.
The Bridge and the Battery
Before my friends and I departed San Francisco for a trip down the coast, we decided it was time to visit the symbol of the city. What followed was a tumult of emotions and situations. A rapid shift of perspective and feeling that, like the bridge itself, was unlike anything I’d ever experienced before.
A Miller-Boyett Production
“…but who among us never quoted a song in their AIM ‘away message’ or on the profile pages of late MySpace and early Facebook?”
In this case, I used the theme from Full House.
This One Goes Out to “Santa’s Little Helper”

“Bach in the (Cincinnati) Subway”
“Bach in the Subways” is an annual occurrence intended to bring awareness to not just the work of Johann Sebastian Bach, but classical music in general. Cincinnati doesn’t technically have a subway, so we used the closest thing: the abandoned tunnels of the never-completed subway system.
Things Left Behind
“It was one of those nights where I drank too much gin and started talking to the dog…”
…I then went looking for a man I only knew in my mind.
A follow-up to a 2009 story.

“This is the water
and this is the well.
Drink full and descend.
The horse is the white of the eyes,
and dark within.”

The Western Hills Viaduct
This bridge isn’t just a symbol of the Queen City, it’s a reflection of the nation at large. Nothing says “America” quite like an ornately designed, historic piece of infrastructure that’s been left to rot.
